The Rhoder Residence located in Northeast San Antonio is typical of the homes in this area. Built in the 1950s, the home was the victim to numerous additions that were born out of necessity rather than consideration of the architecture. The newest homeowners primarily office out of the home and engaged Studio Plearn to revisit the layout and reimagine a new configuration that would accommodate the needs of this young family including a mudroom with a multitude of storage and a new library with workstations for the parents and a study nook for the children.
